Chuck’s Boots accepts major credit cards such as American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. Your credit card will only be charged at the time of purchase. A pending charge may appear on your account known as a pre-authorization. This is not a charge and is only done to verify a card is valid before it is charged the full amount.
You will be notified via email if an order is not available or is currently on backorder from the manufacturer. In the event you cannot or do not want to wait for your purchase, Chuck’s Boots will initiate an exchange or refund. Refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days for processing.
If your payment method is declined, you will not be charged, and no order will be processed. You may see a pending transaction until your account-issuer removes the authorization, typically between 2 to 5 business days.
Your card may be declined for the following reasons:
• General Decline: Caused by insufficient funds or a credit-limit issue. Contact your card issuer or digital wallet provider for more information.
• AVS (Address Verification System) Mismatch: Caused when the billing address entered during checkout does not match the mailing address associated with the billing statement.
• Card Code Mismatch: The 3-to-4-digit CVV2/CVC2/CID code on a card does not match what was entered at checkout.
Prepaid Credit or Gift Cards
If you are using a prepaid credit or gift card, please make sure it has been registered by the card-issuing institution. At checkout, be sure the billing address matches the address used when registering the card. An AVS Mismatch may result in a declined transaction and a hold may be placed on your card.

Government Purchases
We accept procurement cards through the SmartPay program. During checkout, use your SmartPay card just as you would use any credit card.
